‘Been class’, ‘Trash’ – These Everton fans mixed on 2017 arrival’s Tuesday display | FootballFanCast.com

Morgan Schneiderlin was handed a rare start in Everton’s Premier League clash with Cardiff City on Tuesday night.

Indeed, he was selected in central midfield ahead of Andre Gomes, with the on-loan Barcelona ace dropping to the bench.

Ahead of the Cardiff match, the 29-year-old’s last Premier League minutes came in the 6-2 home defeat to Tottenham Hotspur on December 23.

It was certainly a surprise when the Frenchman – a 2017 arrival from Manchester United – was named in the starting XI, but he played the full 90 minutes of his team’s 3-0 win.

The Everton fans took to social media both during and after the match to comment on the former Manchester United man’s performance and the reaction was fairly mixed.

Indeed, there were some who were pleased with what they saw from the 29-year-old, but others had a different opinion on a player who has really struggled to perform on Merseyside.

A selection of the Twitter reaction from the Everton fans can be seen below:
