Manchester United fans have taken to Twitter to reveal that they miss Zlatan Ibrahimovic and his impact on the club in general.
The Swedish striker spent a season-and-a-half at Old Trafford after arriving on a free transfer under Jose Mourinho, and hit an impressive 28 goals in his first campaign with them.
You won’t believe who Flying Pig United has named as Man Utd’s player of the season in the video below…
As we all know, the former AC Milan star isn’t afraid to speak his mind, and has an astounding amount of confidence in his own ability.
He was a real leader in the dressing room in Manchester, striking up an entertaining ‘bromance’ with Paul Pogba whilst delivering out on the pitch as well – his two goals in the Carabao Cup final against Southampton were perhaps the highlight of his stint at the club.
However, since he departed to join LA Galaxy, the Red Devils have embarked on a downward spiral, and currently find themselves in real danger of missing out on Champions League football.
Ibrahimovic’s exit isn’t the sole reason for that, but many United fans on Twitter have been reminiscing about the impact he had and how useful it would be right now in this turbulent time…
Zlatan Ibrahimovic is the last real leader we’ve had at this football club. He’s a player the lads looked up to, who led by example, who had the arrogance and personality a Manchester United player requires. He’s a huge miss in that dressing room. #mufc pic.twitter.com/JRfVRkcVz8

Kept everyone in line. With his personality and his understanding of Jose’s moods. He kept the balance

The season he had here was majestic, an no coincidence our best season since Fergie left. A small part of our problem is that the dressing doesn’t have a model player the rest can look up to.

What id give to have him or a Rooney in the locker room today. No leaders in this team what so ever

Was just thinking this we would never have these on field issues with him at the club, same with wazza never had an issue of trying and keeping the team alive

When Zlatan was at the club …there was no Pogba vs Mourinho …..Pogba was kept in line …as Soon as we got less Zlatan …Pogba starts to flaunt his ego around. ..the man is a cancer a virus
