Ricky Rubio leads Spain to the semi-finals of the Basketball World Cup

Ricky Rubio was tremendous for another game and led Spain past Poland (90-78), helping his team reach the semi-finals.

The guard of the Phoenix Suns finished the game with 19 points and nine assists, while four more players scored in double figures for the winners.

On the other hand, A.J Slaughter was the top scorer of the losing squad, with 19 points, with Adam Waczynski adding 15.

Spain was in control from start to finish, yet Poland remained competitive until the middle of the quarter (76-72). The Spaniards, though, closed the game on a 14-6 run to seal the deal.

In the semi-final, Spain will clash with the winner of the match between Australia and the Czech Republic, whereas Poland will play in the classification games (5-8).
