Arsenal told ‘fair price’ for Celtic’s Kieran Tierney by club legend after Man Utd deal

ARSENAL could clinch a deal for Kieran Tierney in the region of £22million and they should meet Celtic’s demands because it represents a “fair price” for the player.

That’s the verdict of former Arsenal defender Nigel Winterburn.

The Gunners are believed to have had two approaches rebuffed for Celtic left-back Tierney worth £15m and £19m.

Reports in Scotland claim that the Hoops are mulling over a third approach worth £20m with £5m in add-ons, while Arsenal are also said to be willing to include right-sided defender Carl Jenkinson – who can also deputise on the left – in the deal.

But Winterburn thinks Unai Emery could complete a move for the 22-year-old Scotland international for around £22m and has been urged to stump up the cash.
