Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich and manager Frank Lampard are interested in signing Russian striker Fedor Chalov, if their transfer ban is lifted in time for the January window.

Frank Lampard is interested in making a move for the CSKA Moscow striker, if their transfer embargo is lifted before January.

Chelsea expect to find out whether they’ll be able to make signings in January before the end of the calendar year.

Crystal Palace are also keen on signing the 21-year-old, and saw a number of bids rejected during the summer.
