CHELSEA midfielder Mateo Kovacic is hopeful that new manager Frank Lampard can help him score more goals next season.
Kovacic moved to Chelsea on loan from Real Madrid last summer before joining permanently earlier this month for £40m.
But the Croatian failed to score in his first season for Chelsea, despite the club’s Euorpa League success and Champions League qualification.
Lampard, who is Chelsea’s al-time top goalscorer, took over as Blues boss after Maurizio Sarri’s Juventus departure.
And Kovacic is relishing the chance to work with Lampard, who is already putting his new players through their paces in pre-season.
